Dr. Maria Bruce

Dr. Maria C. Bruce works with high-achievers operating in complex, high-stakes environments to strengthen how they think, regulate, decide, and execute when the stakes are real. Her coaching approach integrates medicine-informed performance psychology and nervous system-based tools into practical strategies that support sustained high performance. She is the author of The Mental Training Series, extending her performance framework to athletes, families, and teams.

Performing well shouldn’t have to take this much out of you

Private coaching for executives, founders, and high-performing professionals navigating pressure, difficult decisions, career transitions, workplace dynamics, or a work life that has become harder to sustain.

You may be doing well on paper and still feel that certain parts of your life or work require more effort than they should. Coaching provides a private space to think clearly, understand what is getting in the way, regulate pressure, and make practical changes that help you perform well without sacrificing the rest of your life.

You don’t have to be in crisis to know something isn’t working as well as it could.

Many of the people I work with are already successful, capable, and functioning at a high level. They are not looking to be “fixed.”

They may simply be at a point where:

  • Work is going well, but it is taking too much out of them.
  • A boss, colleague, partner, or team dynamic is occupying far too much mental space.
  • They are facing a difficult career or business decision and cannot get clear.
  • A promotion, transition, setback, or period of increased responsibility has shaken their usual confidence.
  • They find it difficult to switch off and work keeps following them into the rest of their life.
  • They want to keep performing at a high level without sacrificing relationships, health, energy, or quality of life.

Coaching creates space to step outside the noise, understand what is actually happening, and work through it with perspective, structure, and practical tools.

MD (Argentina) · LMHC, NCC (USA) · M.A. Applied Psychology, NYU

I’m Dr. Maria Bruce, an executive and performance coach with a background that bridges medicine, psychology, sports, business, and entertainment.

I was originally trained as a medical doctor in Argentina, later earned a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology at NYU, and spent years working in psychology and performance before focusing my practice on coaching. Earlier in my career, I also worked in the music industry, including at Universal Music.

That combination shapes how I work because pressure rarely exists in one box. Work, relationships, confidence, sleep, stress physiology, habits, and decision-making all affect how we function and perform.

My approach is practical and highly individualized. The goal is to understand what is creating unnecessary friction and help clients operate with greater clarity, steadiness, and effectiveness while still having a life outside of work.

How We Work Together

01

Understand What’s Creating Friction

Identify the patterns, pressures, and habits that are requiring more effort than they should - and how they are affecting focus, decisions, energy, and performance.

02

Build Better Ways to Respond

Develop practical strategies for managing pressure, making decisions, communicating effectively, and responding more intentionally when demands are high.

03

Make the Changes Sustainable

Turn useful strategies into habits and routines that support focus, energy, recovery, and consistent performance over time.

04

Reassess & Refine

Review what is working, adjust what isn’t, and refine the approach as responsibilities, priorities, and circumstances change.
